From the beginning, she took the time to explain every step of the mortgage process in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt like I was being left in the dark, and she was always willing to answer my questions and make sure I understood what was happening and what came next.
She was also incredibly available throughout the entire process. Whether it was during normal business hours or later in the day, Lu was always responsive and made me feel like I could reach out whenever I had a question or concern. That level of communication made a huge difference for me as a first time buyer.
My debt to income ratio was very close to the approval limits, and Lu went above and beyond to help keep my loan within the range needed for approval. She stayed on top of the numbers, worked through every issue that came up, and genuinely fought to get me to the finish line.
What stood out most was that it never felt like Lu was simply doing her job or treating me like another loan in her pipeline. She genuinely seemed to care about helping me become a homeowner and wanted to see me successfully get into a property. I could tell she was personally invested in the outcome, which made the experience feel completely different from what I expected going into the mortgage process.
One of the best examples of that was her advice regarding my interest rate. Before rates increased, Lu recommended that I lock in my rate rather than wait. She ended up being completely right. That recommendation saved me a significant amount of money and, because my DTI was already so close to the limit, the higher rate could have potentially affected my approval altogether.
Buying my first home could have been an overwhelming experience, but Lu made the entire process much easier. She was knowledgeable, proactive, patient, extremely available, and consistently went above and beyond. I am extremely grateful for everything she did to help me become a homeowner and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a loan officer.
