📣PSA: Nationwide customers📣

Are you getting the most out of your policy discounts? The discounts I’m going to go over today, do require you to download apps… but I (Mallory) have them so you can always stop by to ask questions.

*Ting- is a plug in sensor that monitors your home’s electrical grid for hidden hazards. If a micro-arcing or electrical fault is detected, the Ting Fire Safety team contacts you and coordinates a technician to fix it, utilizing your $1,000 credit if necessary.

*Phyn- is a smart leak detection significantly reduces the risk of water damage. It comes with 3 sensors (batteries included) you can put them in the “hard to get to and see” places.

*Smart Ride- allows you to receive discounts on your auto policy for safe driving. It can be a plug into your car device or an app. It detects late night driving, hard brake and acceleration, swerving, and phone usage. NOW it can’t hurt your policy if any of these events happen, but it can save you if you refrain from these events as much as possible.
-You can also sign up on the Nationwide app for Focused Driving Rewards and earn points for e-gift cards for focused driving.

Have you been getting “insurance quote mailers” too? They seem like a very cost friendly quote, right?
Just a couple things to keep in mind when considering these offers.

1. They are just doing a basic quote without any of the extra coverages you would actually need to cover you in case of a loss. That comes when you call them then they start tacking on what you need, then you’ll realize it’s not as cheap as they told you. And they have all your information now.

2. Even if you did get a better quote from them, are you okay with dealing with all your insurance needs over the phone or would you rather walk into a local insurance agents office.
