Community Reminder:

We would like to remind residents and parents that motor bicycles that can travel at speeds greater than 30 mph require a motorcycle endorsement. Our officers have seen an influx of juveniles riding e-motorcycles or electric motocross bikes that exceed speeds of 30 mph in a reckless manner throughout residential neighborhoods.

Meaning – if the electric motocross bike is capable of speeds beyond e-bike classes, or lacks pedals, it needs to be treated as a motorcycle. This includes proper permits for the driver, with proper licensing, registration and insurance for the vehicle.
