World Tree Growing regenerative forests that restore ecosystems, capture carbon, and create sustainable investment opportunities for a better future.

World Tree creates regenerative tree farming projects in North and Latin America in partnership with farmers and other landowners. Our programs are designed to create community, provide new revenue streams for farmers, rebuild the soil, help reverse global warming, and protect forests. World Tree provides free Empress Splendor trees (Paulownia elongata & fortunei), training, and support to farmers. The farmers grow the trees on their land from sapling to harvest maturity, and World Tree harvests and sells the lumber. These programs are funded by impact-focused investors from around the world. World Tree currently has over 250 farmers in its programs, based in the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Guatemala.

What we plant today shapes what comes next. 🌱

At World Tree, growth begins with the choices we make every day, how we care for the land, show up for our farmers, and plan for the generations who will follow.

Every tree is part of a bigger story. Thank you for growing with us.

It’s value begins with the wood, and extends to how we grow it.

Meeting the world’s need for timber puts pressure on forests, especially when hardwoods take decades to mature.

At World Tree, we partner with farmers to grow fast-growing paulownia on degraded land across the Americas. Its ability to regrow from the stump after harvest means the same tree can provide lumber through multiple harvest cycles.

A renewable source of hardwood. A long-term opportunity for farmers. A future rooted in regeneration.

Did you know trees are some of nature’s best cooling tools?

In the right conditions, urban trees can help cool the air by up to 8°C and reduce surface temperatures by even more.

But their impact doesn’t stop there. Trees capture carbon, help filter air pollution, provide homes for wildlife, and create cooler, healthier, more livable communities.

At World Tree, we believe planting trees is about more than what we put in the ground today. It’s about what those trees can give back for decades to come; cooler communities, cleaner air, healthier soil, thriving habitats, and a more sustainable future.
