🇺🇸 VETERANS DAY IS COMING UP, AND I WANT TO THROW SOMETHING OUT THERE FOR EVERYONE TO THINK ABOUT! 🇺🇸

Every year around Veterans Day, we start seeing all the lists of restaurants and businesses offering free meals, discounts, and other goodies to thank our veterans for their service.

And don’t get me wrong, I think that’s absolutely wonderful! As a retired Army veteran myself, I appreciate every single business that takes the time to recognize those who have worn our nation’s uniform.

But this year, I’d like to challenge everyone to look at Veterans Day from a little different perspective.

What if, instead of just looking for the businesses giving something FREE to veterans, we also made an effort to find the businesses OWNED BY veterans?

Think about that for a minute.

We have veterans right here in our own communities who served their country, hung up their uniforms, and then took on a whole new challenge — building a business of their own!

And if you’ve ever owned a business, you know that takes a whole different kind of courage, commitment, and determination!

These men and women have already given so much in service to our country. Now they’re working hard to build something for themselves, their families, and their communities.

So here’s my challenge this Veterans Day:

Let’s not just THANK a veteran for their service. Let’s SUPPORT a veteran by giving them our BUSINESS!

Buy from their shops. Eat at their restaurants. Hire them for services. Recommend them to your friends and family. Share their business pages!

Because sometimes the best way to say “Thank you for your service” is to become a paying customer and help a veteran succeed.
