I have my MC. Can I broker? Broker authority is its own application, and the BOC-3 and the $75,000 bond go on file before it is active. We form the company and prepare the filings; our agency writes the bond and the insurance.

Already hauling under your own MC and ready to broker loads to other carriers? Broker authority is its own application. Form the LLC, get the EIN, and apply in Motus, FMCSA's new registration system. Before the authority goes active, the BOC-3 and the $75,000 BMC-84 bond or BMC-85 trust must be on file. UCR renews every year, and shippers usually ask for contingent cargo and contingent auto liability. Our office handles the filings and our agency writes the bond and the coverage. Self-employed with a marketplace plan? If the credit lowers your premium every month, your tax return is where it gets settled. The marketplace sends Form 1095-A by January 31; check that every covered month and everyone in your household is on it, and ask for a corrected form if something is off. Form 8962 compares the advance credit with the credit your actual income supports. On the 2026 return, any excess advance credit is repaid in full, so report income changes to the marketplace within 30 days. Let's get this filed.
