A new study shows Colorado has the highest rate of vehicle thefts in the country, with 2,852 thefts per 100,000 residents and more than 167,000 reported cases over five years. Researchers say thefts most often happen in garages and parking lots, with western states like Washington and Nevada also ranking near the top.

Friday is gonna be... well... Gary Busey weird. 😂

A powerful cold front will blast through the region overnight Thursday. These are some of the max wind gusts according to the 18z run of the HRRR forecast model that came out a couple of hours ago.

The highest gusts are:

1. Along the Divide (not shocking)
2. The northern front range (Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley)
3. Wyoming
4. Nebrasky
5. NE Colorado/east Colorado
6. Kansas

The reason it's weird is because the high resolution forecast models seem to want to keep some of the I-25 corridor in and south of Denver mostly wind sheltered.

Could there be occasionally blowy gusts? Yep.

The strongest and most consistent blowy winds will be in areas 1-6.

It'll also be colder than a well digger's ass. Temps mostly in the 30s with wind chills in the single digits, 10s and 20s.
