It was a HOT one this weekend! But we didn’t let the A/C going out in the office trailer stop us from having a great day at the Azle Sting Fling!
(New AC unit being installed ASAP!)

It was great seeing some friends, meeting new people, and checking out all the other vendors.

Now bring on the cooler weather and all the fun fall events ahead! 🍂🤎

🚨 ACA Marketplace Update 🚨

CMS has confirmed that the 2027 Marketplace Open Enrollment Period will remain:

📅 November 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027

The previously proposed shortened Open Enrollment period was not adopted.

This means consumers will continue to have the full enrollment window to enroll in or update their Marketplace health insurance coverage.

At Southern Insurance Solutions, we’ll continue monitoring CMS guidance and sharing important updates that affect your coverage and enrollment options.

🚨 Tax Day Reminder for Marketplace Clients 🚨

If you had a Health Insurance Marketplace plan in 2025, here’s an important reminder:

If you received premium tax credits (subsidies) to lower your monthly premium, you are required to file a federal tax return and reconcile those credits using Form 1095-A — even if your income is below the normal filing requirement.

If you paid full price for your Marketplace plan and are not claiming the premium tax credit, you generally do not need to complete Form 8962. You should still keep your Form 1095-A with your tax records.

Failing to file and reconcile when required can delay your refund and may affect your eligibility for future financial assistance.

If you have questions about your 1095-A or whether this applies to you, we are happy to help.

He is Risen! 🤍✨

Jesus is alive! Because of Him we have hope, grace, and the promise of new life.

Easter is a reminder of His love, His sacrifice, and the victory we have through Him. No matter the season you’re in, His presence brings peace, purpose, and renewal.

Wishing you and your family a blessed and happy Easter.
