One of the biggest mistakes homebuyers make is waiting until they are under contract to find out whether a condo is financeable.
Not all condos qualify for conventional, FHA, or VA financing. Issues such as inadequate insurance, pending litigation, low owner-occupancy rates, deferred maintenance, or financial concerns within the HOA can create major obstacles—sometimes after you've already spent money on inspections, appraisals, and earnest money.
IMPORTANT:
✅ Before making an offer, ask your lender (ME) to review the condo project whenever possible.
A little due diligence upfront can save you time, money, stress, and potential disappointment later.
