Sometimes you look around and realize…
the table got smaller.
Certain friendships changed.
Certain relationships ended.
Certain conversations stopped.
Certain people don’t have the access they used to have.
And at first, that can feel like loss.
Until you notice something else.
It’s peaceful as hell over here. 😂
No unnecessary drama.
No constantly questioning somebody’s intentions.
No forcing relationships because you’ve known each other forever.
No keeping people around simply because you’re afraid of what the empty seat might mean.
I’ve learned that every empty space in your life doesn’t need to be filled immediately.
Sometimes that seat is empty because you’ve grown.
Sometimes it’s empty because you’ve finally established boundaries.
Sometimes somebody removed themselves.
And sometimes YOU finally realized that having company isn’t worth sacrificing your peace.
That doesn’t mean you’re angry.
It doesn’t mean you’re lonely.
And it definitely doesn’t mean you’re better than anybody.
It simply means you’ve learned to appreciate quality over quantity.
So stop rushing to fill every empty chair.
Sit at the table.
Enjoy your food.
Enjoy your peace.
And understand that the right people will never require you to destroy one to have the other.
Sometimes less company really does mean more peace. 💙☕️
