We are proud to participate in our state association and their lobbying efforts at the federal and state levels to encourage sensible lawmaking about the insurance markets. In Washington DC this week we were asking lawmakers to reauthorize the flood insurance program permanently, continue the tax deductibility of group health insurance for employers (which encourages employers to offer this increasingly expensive benefit) and make changes to the laws around civil litigation to reduce the expenses of lawsuits, which are passed on to businesses and consumers.

Everybody is getting tired of the storms, and I’m sure everybody knows what to do by now, but: now would be a good time to make sure that loose items are secured in the yard and get your vehicles under something. We will post a link later with claims numbers just in case.
