Insurance AGENT2000

Insurance AGENT2000 We are independent Commercial & Personal Insurance Brokers who focus on exemplary customer service. Although that has not happened, the name has remained.

James Knapp started in the insurance industry in 1961, after graduating from Villanova College, with the Insurance Company of North America. Between 1961 and 1973, Jim was transferred from Philadelphia to Kansas City, Missouri, back to Philadelphia, and then to San Francisco. In 1974 he left the Insurance Company of North America to work on the agency side of the business. After working for anothe

r agency for a short time, Jim Knapp joined forces with Dennis Maring and started Maring Knapp & Company on September 1, 1975. After a few years, Dennis was ready to move on, and Jim bought him out, and the Agency's name was changed to MK Insurance. In 1987 when many agency clusters were being formed, Jim Knapp changed the Agency's name to AGENT2000, Commercial & Personal Insurance Brokers. Not because the year 2000 was approaching, but because his vision was for 2000 agencies to join forces. Jim's daughter Laurie Limrite started working in the Agency full-time in 1983 after graduating from St. Mary's College of California. And his son, Derek Knapp, began working in the Agency in 1986, first on the technology side and then became a licensed agent. Now Jim is retired, resides in the town of Lookout, CA, in Modoc County, and is enjoying a slower-paced life. Laurie and Derek run the Agency's day-to-day operations. The Agency is now in its 47th year! AGENT2000 has focused on exemplary customer service, proven by the number of long-term clients. Some have been with the Agency since its inception. We look forward to providing you with excellent customer service for many years! We are now licensed in California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Tennesse, and North Carolina. Hail Damage

Often, after a hailstorm, which often happen most frequently during the spring and early summer, the roof contractors will go door to door trying to drum up Business. This happened to Brittany Scott. If you suspect damage, call your insurance company. Do not sign anything until you have spoken with your insurance company and found a reportable roofing company.

Do you actually have damage?

The size of hail needed to damage a roof depends on the roofing material and its condition. As a general guideline, hail measuring about 1¼ inches across is often required to damage heavy architectural asphalt shingles or wood shake roofs. Lighter-weight asphalt shingles may be affected by hail around 1 inch in diameter. Hail smaller than 1 inch usually causes damage only when shingles are already aged, brittle, or otherwise deteriorated.

If you suspect your roof has been exposed to damaging hail, it's a good idea to look for signs of impact on other property before filing a claim.

Hail capable of harming roofing materials often leaves visible marks on items such as:
Vehicles
Wood fencing
Window shutters
Exterior siding and trim

You may also notice an unusual amount of roofing granules collecting near gutters or downspouts. While this can indicate that the roof was affected by hail, granule accumulation alone does not necessarily confirm hail damage. This preliminary inspection can help determine whether a professional roof evaluation may be warranted.

Here are two articles about hail damage and when it's important to get it repaired.

Special Event Policies.

Many venues require you to carry insurance to hold your event in their space, whether it's a fundraiser, party, wedding, car show, dog or cat show, or any other special event. The list is endless. Not all homeowners' policies cover special events, and their limits are often insufficient to meet venue requirements. Also, with the current restrictive homeowners' market, why risk your coverage? Having a claim on your policy could make it more challenging to obtain homeowners' insurance in the future. We can help by writing a special event policy for you, often for less than $200.

Our team has many years of experience reviewing insurance contracts and providing Certificates of Insurance.

We have provided coverage for various events, including non-profit fundraisers, art and w**e festivals, wedding receptions, rabbit shows, car shows, Independence Day celebrations, birthday parties, weddings, end-of-season team parties, Community non-profit gatherings, Community Picnic and Fish Fry, and many more.

Oyuna is one of our agents. She was born and raised in Mongolia, in a small town called Gobi-Altai, near the beautiful Altai Mountains.
She would like to share one of Mongolia's most popular traditional foods—Buuz.

Buuz are steamed dumplings filled with beef or lamb. Mongolians enjoy them throughout the year, especially during family gatherings and celebrations.
Buuz are a very special part of Tsagaan Sar, the Mongolian Lunar New Year. Before the holiday, family members gather to prepare hundreds of buuz for relatives and guests. Some people make the dough, others prepare the filling, and everyone helps shape the dumplings.
Preparing Buuz is more than cooking—it brings families together and represents Mongolian hospitality, unity, and celebration.

🥟 TRADITIONAL BUUZ RECIPE
Makes approximately 30–35 Buuz.
For the dough:
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• Approximately 1½ cups warm water
• 1 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
• 2 pounds beef or lamb, hand-chopped into very small pieces
• Ground beef or ground lamb may also be used
• 1 large onion, chopped into very small pieces
• 3 garlic cloves, chopped into very small pieces
• 1½ teaspoons salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• ½ cup water or broth

Traditionally, the meat is chopped by hand into very small pieces. The onion and garlic should also be chopped very finely so they mix evenly with the meat. This creates a flavorful and juicy filling.

Directions:
1. Mix the flour, salt, and warm water. Knead until the dough is smooth. Cover and let it rest for approximately 20–30 minutes.
2. Combine the chopped meat with the finely chopped onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Slowly mix in the water or broth to keep the filling juicy.
3. Roll the dough into a long rope and cut it into small, equal pieces.
4. Roll each piece into a thin circle, approximately 3–4 inches wide.
5. Place one tablespoon of filling in the center. Fold and pinch the edges together, leaving a small opening at the top.
6. Lightly oil the steamer so the buuz will not stick.
7. Arrange the buuz with space between them and steam for approximately 15–20 minutes.

Buuz can be served with potato salad and fresh cabbage-and-carrot salad. These side dishes balance the rich, juicy meat filling and create a delicious, complete meal.
Buuz are more than food—they are a beautiful symbol of Mongolian family, culture, hospitality, and tradition.
Сайхан хооллоорой! Enjoy your meal! 🇲🇳
