There's a version of me from several years ago who would not believe how normal this call feels now.

Explaining to a family that the house they'd already mentally moved into fell through, that's not a skill they teach in licensing school. There's no script for it. You just learn, slowly and a little painfully, how to hold someone's disappointment without making it about you.

You learn it by doing it badly a few times, then better, then eventually just honestly. And somewhere in there you stop dreading it and start seeing it as part of the job you're actually good at.

This is the job. If you want someone who does it this way, I'm here when you're ready.

🥐😂 HAPPY NATIONAL CINNAMON BUN DAY! 😂🥐

Apparently Moe
misunderstood today’s assignment.

I said, “Moe, we need something cute for National Cinnamon Bun Day.”

Moe heard: “Moe, YOU are the cinnamon bun.” 🤣🐾

And judging by the look on his face, he is suddenly VERY concerned about how much I love cinnamon rolls. 😂

I mean… can you blame me? Warm, gooey cinnamon, icing dripping everywhere… YUM! 😋
Don’t worry, Moe. I promise I’m not going to eat you.
Probably. 😳😂

Although he does look pretty darn sweet dressed as a cinnamon bun!

And yes, even on National Cinnamon Bun Day, I’m still representing Key Realty. 🩷🏡 Because apparently real estate and baked goods are now part of the same marketing plan. 😂

A house is no different.

Fresh paint, a renovated kitchen, and beautiful finishes can make a home feel updated—but some of the most expensive parts of a house are the ones you barely notice during a showing.

The electrical panel is one of them.

An older or outdated panel can mean repairs, upgrades, insurance issues, or an unexpected expense you definitely didn’t budget for after closing.

So while you’re checking out the countertops and imagining where the couch will go, don’t forget to look at the things that aren’t nearly as pretty.
