Ohio Credit Union leaders visited Washington, D.C. this week for 2024 Hike the Hill, showcasing how federal lawmakers and regulators can partner with financial cooperatives to serve more than 3.2 million Ohioans. During visits with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and legislative offices, the League emphasized the importance of a legislative and regulatory environment that achieves a safe, fair, and innovative financial services market without unnecessary red tape, discussed growing fraud risks faced by members, and shared how the Credit Card Competition Act could exacerbate the issue.
