Starting July 1st, a new CMS program opened up affordable access to GLP-1 medications for Medicare beneficiaries who don't currently qualify through Part D.

If you're on Medicare and have been priced out of GLP-1 medications for weight management, there's a new development worth knowing about. Starting July 1, 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is launching a temporary demonstration called the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program.
