Medicare of Fresno

Medicare of Fresno Medicare can be complicated. Medicare is supposed to help you with health costs as you get older, but it doesn’t cover everything. I can help you decide.

Some choose to add Medicare Supplement insurance. You may have heard it called Medigap coverage.

Just wanted to give you a quick 'heads up....should you HAVE a Medicare (Medigap) Supplement Plan, you have a right
under the California Insurance Code to purchase any Medicare Supplement policy that offers benefits that are equal to OR lesser than those provided by your current Medicare Supplement Plan,
REGARDLESS OF ANY HEALTH OR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS.This annual election period BEGINS on your birthday and lasts for 60 days.

Medicare Supplement plans are standardized by the Federal Government. What this means is YOUR PLAN WILL BE THE SAME PLAN WITH OTHER CARRIERS. YOU WILL SEE THE SAME DOCTORS YOU ARE CURRENTLY SEEING so, if you are on a Supplement Plan F, your coverages remain the same as other plan F's with other
carriers, BUT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SAVE ON YOUR MONTHLY PREMIUMS. Better yet, save money and you might receive extra benefits such as hearing, vision and dental.

So, lets take a look in comparing the policies sold by different carriers to be sure you are getting the plan that best fits your individual needs, it's a free rate comparison "no obligation" call.

TY!

Medicare Open Enrollment ends December 7. If you're still deciding whether to stay with your current coverage or make a change, don't wait!

Here are 3 reasons why you should compare coverage options now:

1. Your needs may change. You may find you're going to the doctor more or less often, the prescription drugs you take may be different, or your health needs may have changed.

2. Plans can change from year-to-year. Review how your current plan's costs and benefits will change in 2026, and compare against other available plans in your area

3. New, more affordable Medicare coverage may be available, or you may find plans with additional benefits — like vision, dental, and hearing coverage, or fitness benefits.

Half way through AEP, it's not too late to check!!
I wanted to take a moment to share some helpful information I’ve come across during client meetings:
Some of my clients have expressed concerns about the cost of prescriptions and other healthcare expenses. It’s important to remember that many MAY qualify for Extra Help (also known as Low Income Subsidy, or LIS).
What is Extra Help?
Extra Help is a program for Medicare members who MAY NOT qualify for Medicaid BUT STILL NEED financial assistance. Depending on their income level, members who qualify can receive help with:
Prescription drug costs
Part D premiums
In some cases, their Part B premium
I encourage you reach out to me if you think you might be eligible OR you know someone who might benefit from this option — there’s no downside to applying (“no harm, no foul”)!
