Reflecting on a great day of golf and raising money for children’s charity. The Vermont Agency 26th Annual All Charity Classic was a wonderful way to play my very first round of golf — and I had the best teacher on my team, my dad. The tournament raised $52,480 for various charities and continued our mission of “dramatically impacting the lives of others.”
Somewhere between the lost balls, crooked swings, and my dad’s very patient coaching (I’m convinced golf is the ultimate test of a father’s endurance), I was reminded that you’re never too old to learn from your parents. Their guidance doesn’t stop when we grow up, it just shifts into new chapters.
It’s the same in financial planning. The lessons we inherit - patience, discipline, long‑term thinking - shape how we build and protect our futures. Whether it’s learning to keep your eye on the ball or your eye on your financial goals, the wisdom passed down through generations is often what keeps us steady.
Here’s to family, to learning at every age, and to building financial legacies that honor the people who taught us the most.
