The Trump administration announced Friday morning (August 21) its plan to allow up to 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to be imported into the United States with lower tariffs over the next 90 days. According to the announcement, the Administration has secured a commitment that the imported ground beef will be sold at 25% below current market prices.

We need your help to pass a ban on fake meat in Oklahoma!

Senate Bill 96 aims to prohibit the manufacture, sale and distribution of cultivated (lab-grown) meat within the state, thereby protecting traditional beef markets for Oklahoma's farmers and ranchers and ensuring Oklahoma consumers are getting real, traditional beef in grocery stores.

SB 96 has had EIGHT new senators co-sponsor the bill this week! It's just one vote away from passage! Call your senator as soon as possible--Ask them to push for SB 96 to be heard on the Senate floor.

SB 2121 passed out of the Senate Ag Committee this morning with a 9-3 vote. The bill moves to ban the manufacturing, sale and distribution of cultivated (fake) meat within the borders of the State of Oklahoma. If passed into law, Oklahoma would become the eighth state to ban the substance.

A big AFR “Thank You” to Senator Casey Murdock (R-Felt), Senator Spencer Kern (R-Duncan), and the other members of the Senate Ag Committee who voted to support Oklahoma’s farmers and ranchers! We appreciate you!

Heads up if you have plans to visit a tag agency or renew online in February🚗💳

Service Oklahoma says all driver’s licenses and motor vehicle systems will be temporarily offline statewide for a few days next month as the agency switches to a new software system.

That means no in-person or online tag, license, or registration services will be available during the outage window, which will be Feb. 12-16.
