“What’s the most important mindset for women in leadership?”

✨ The Future Is Funded by Women. ✨

One of the most impactful moments from our Future Is Funded by Women event at Hyde Park came from Andrea Williams, Founder of Enlightenment Wealth Planning.

Andrea challenged us to think differently about the standards we live by. Too often, society defines success for us before we ever have the chance to define it for ourselves. Her message was simple yet profound: put your own oxygen mask on first.

Women often wear many hats throughout life’s different seasons—leaders, mothers, caregivers, daughters, mentors, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and so much more. Every season calls for something different, and understanding what is required of you in that moment begins with knowing your own priorities and values.

One question Andrea left us with continues to resonate:
Where did your standards come from?
Are they someone else’s expectations… or have you intentionally created your own?

At Hyde Park, we believe leadership begins with self-awareness. Before you can build a legacy for others, you must first build a strong foundation for yourself. That’s how enduring legacies are created and how limitless possibilities become reality.

Hosting Hyde Park’s Women’s Event was one of those evenings that reminds you why you do what you do.

I’ve always believed that being a great financial advisor isn’t just about understanding investments or insurance. It’s about understanding people. It’s about having the ability to empathize, sympathize, truly listen, and build relationships rooted in trust.

That’s one of the many reasons I believe women have such an incredible opportunity to shape the future of our profession.
