Liz Allam, VP of Wealth Management Strategy at TrekNorth Empowering Women, Healthcare Pros & High-Achievers to Build Wealth with Purpose I worked in residential leasing while earning my B.S.

I help healthcare professionals, women, and high-achieving individuals gain clarity and confidence in their financial lives - to help them build wealth and freedom on their own terms. My passion for helping others succeed - professionally, personally, and financially - has guided every step of my career. I was raised in Chicago by a resilient single mom, and from an early age, I learned the value of grit and hard work. in Business Management from Northeastern Illinois University. Before working in financial services, I spent years in healthcare and medical device sales, primarily in optometry. I helped doctors and practice owners implement new technology, increase efficiency, and grow profitability, earning multiple President’s Club awards and promotions. That success led me into sales training, where I found my true passion: mentoring and empowering others to grow their confidence, skills, and careers. Today, I bring that same energy, empathy, and strategy to financial planning. I guide clients through meaningful, goal-driven conversations that lead to smarter decisions. I’m proud to partner with Jarrod Biebel and the TrekNorth Investment Management team, delivering tailored, purpose-driven financial strategies backed by decades of combined experience.

Such a great afternoon at The Women’s Foundation of Colorado Annual Luncheon! 💜

This year’s theme, Unfiltered & Unstoppable, could not have been more fitting. Margaret Cho and Cristela Alonzo were hilarious, thoughtful, and such a fun part of the afternoon.

Proud to represent TrekNorth Investment Management and to support The Women's Foundation of Colorado as a Patron Sponsor of this year’s luncheon.

Great conversations, lots of laughs, and an afternoon very well spent!

Back-to-school season is bringing higher costs for many families.

A new analysis found that a typical basket of school items, including notebooks, lunch boxes, and index cards, is up nearly 8% compared with last year.

School lunches are also more expensive, with the cost of a typical packed lunch up 11%.

The analysis estimates families may spend roughly $4,000 per student on school supplies and lunches this year, including about $175 on school items and $3,800 on packed lunches.

Some items have seen especially sharp increases. Lunch boxes are up 27%, one-subject notebooks are up 23%, and index cards are up 22%.

Higher tariffs, imported school supplies, food prices, and energy costs are all contributing to the increase.

For families, back-to-school shopping is a reminder that seasonal expenses can add up quickly, especially when everyday costs are already stretching household budgets.

Did you know that only 24% of Americans have a will, according to a 2025 study by Caring.com? And that number has decreased in recent years. Most of those Americans have children under 18. August is Make a Will Month, and it’s a great reminder to create a will for your family and those most important to you or to update it to reflect any changes in your life.

That yellow section? That's money you never saved, your money made it for you.

This is compound interest in action. Start with $1,000/year at a hypothetical 5 percent return, and by year 30, you've built nearly $70,000. But the real story is the yellow: Interest earning interest.

Year 1: almost no interest at all.
Year 30: the interest on your interest alone might cover a year of car payments (or more).

You don't need to invest more. You need to stay focused on your strategy. What's one financial habit you wish you'd started earlier? Drop it below. 👇
