💚 Her Money Moves

Can we talk about the emergency fund for a second — without the shame spiral?
You've probably heard you need three to six months of expenses saved.

That's a great goal. It's also a terrible starting line, because it makes saving $25 feel pointless.

It's not. $25 a week is $1,300 in a year.

That's a car repair that doesn't go on a credit card. That's a flat tire that doesn't ruin your month.

Start where you are. Automate a small amount, even $10 a paycheck, into a separate account you don't see every day. Then forget about it and let it quietly do its job.

What's one small amount you could start with this week?

Her Money Moves

❤️❤️❤️ Real talk: the hardest money 💰 conversations aren't about the numbers. They're about bringing it up without it turning into a fight 😤😒

Try this: a 20-minute money date, same time every week. No spreadsheets required. One question only — "How are we feeling about money this week?" That's it. Wins count. Worries count. No blame, no lectures

It's not about agreeing on everything. It's about being on the same team before the bills hit the table.

Do you and your partner talk money regularly, or is it the conversation you keep putting off? 🤔

Her Money Moves

When your raise disappears the day it arrives, that's not your fault — it's lifestyle creep, and it happens to almost everyone. 💸

Here's the move I love: before a new paycheck, bonus, or side gig lands, decide where the first slice goes. Pay yourself first — even $50 into savings before you upgrade your lifestyle. Then enjoy the rest without the guilt, because the plan came first.

You're not bad with money. You're just building a life one decision at a time.

When have you noticed your spending quietly catching up to your income? 👇

Her Money Moves 💫

Let's talk about the "I deserve this" budget.

Somewhere along the way, spending money on yourself got a bad reputation. But a budget with zero room for joy is a budget you won't stick to — and a plan you can't stick to isn't a plan.

Here's the shift: give your fun money a line item. Name the amount, put it in the budget on purpose, and spend it without the guilt spiral. The coffee run, the nail appointment, the takeout Friday when you're too tired to cook — when it's planned, it's not reckless. It's intentional.

You can't build a life you love by white-knuckling your way through it. Sustainability beats perfection, every time.

What does your "deserve this" look like this week? Drop it in the comments — no judgment, ever. 👇Mine is in the 1st comment ❤️

After 15+ years in financial services, I've sat across from hundreds of women who whispered their money questions like they should already know the answers.

So let me say this loud: there is no such thing as a silly money question. 💛

Money was talked about differently in the rooms I grew up around — and I think a lot of us are still catching up on conversations we were never invited into.

That's why I'm starting Her Money Moves: one real, jargon-free money thought every week, from a woman's perspective. No lectures. No shame. Just honest talk.

What's one money topic you wish someone had explained to you sooner? Drop it below — it might become next week's post. 👇

Losing a loved one is among the most challenging experiences in life. Confronting the question of “What do I do next?” while consumed by grief can feel overwhelming. Though these are difficult discussions, they are also essential, offering an opportunity to address loss with compassion, understanding, and the support needed to navigate the path forward.

Here is a list of tasks that may need to be completed upon the death of a family member.
