This Memorial Day, we honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is about gratitude for the sacrifices made, the freedoms we enjoy, and the people who protect them every day.

We’re thankful for our service members, veterans, military families, and the heroes whose courage continues to inspire us all.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Summer in South Florida is almost here ☀️

Which means:
afternoon storms, heat, humidity, higher electric bills, and lots more time spent doing water sports.

This is actually one of the best times of year to do a quick reset around your home before summer fully kicks in.

A few things worth checking now:

✔ AC filters and drainage lines
✔ patio furniture and outdoor lighting
✔ tree branches hanging near the roof
✔ sprinkler systems and drainage areas
✔ windows and door seals to help keep cool air in

Small preventative maintenance before summer can help avoid much bigger headaches later.

It just makes the season feel a little easier and more enjoyable, too.

What’s one thing you always do to get your home ready for summer in Florida?

One of my favorite things about South Florida is that there are still so many places that feel like hidden gems.

Not the big tourist spots — the places locals actually love.

The family-owned coffee shops.
The quiet parks.
The small restaurants you accidentally discover once and then keep going back to forever.

As our area continues to grow, supporting local businesses matters more than ever. These businesses are part of what gives our communities personality and connection.

So I’d love to know:

What’s one local place you genuinely think more people should know about?

Could be:
☕ coffee shop
🍽 restaurant
🌴 hidden beach spot
🛍 small business
🌳 local park

I’m always looking for new places to support and recommend.

To all the moms in our South Florida community:

You are appreciated more than you know.

The long days, constant juggling, understanding, planning, support, and unconditional love — do not go unnoticed.

Wishing you a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend filled with joy, family, and moments that make you feel celebrated 💛

One thing many South Florida homeowners don’t realize until the rainy season starts:

A lot of water damage issues begin with small drainage problems that slowly get worse over time.

This time of year is a great reminder to walk around your home during or after heavy rain and pay attention to:

• areas where water pools near the foundation
• overflowing gutters
• slow outdoor drains
• water collecting near doors or patios
• tree roots lifting pavement or redirecting water

Even newer homes can develop drainage issues over time, especially with how intense Florida storms can become.

A simple 10-minute walk around your property after rain can help you catch small issues before they become expensive ones.

And if you’re newer to South Florida, this is one of the most important habits longtime homeowners here learn quickly.
