~The Cat Walk featuring Hairdos Fur Hounds~

If you’ve ever brought your pup to Hairdos Fur Hounds, you know how much love fills the shop—but you might not know the story behind how a lifelong dream brought this family treasure right here to Bigfork.

For owner Sherry, working with animals is a lifelong passion stretching back to the 1970s and 80s. It is Sherry and her daughters' passion for pets that drives the business today. She simply loved dogs so much that she built a business where her daughters, Savannah and Samantha, could work right alongside her in a family-run shop.

Sherry's absolute favorite part of the routine is watching her furry friends prance out the door, bursting with confidence and happiness as they show off their fresh new hairdo to their owners. She is always looking for new ways to give Bigfork pups the best. She is super excited to announce that the shop now carries Glacier Canine’s homemade dog food right on the shelves! Plus, she has even more convenience on the way for local pet parents with a brand-new self-serve wash tub opening up very soon.

At the end of the day, what she loves most about Bigfork is the people. Over the years, her loyal customers have truly become close friends and an extended part of the Hairdos Fur Hounds family. She can’t thank this town enough for welcoming her family business and trusting her and her daughters with your beloved pets!

Our Good Neighbor of the month, Rey Johnson! ❤ ✝

“I met Rey four years ago and, in that time, he has become one of my dearest friends as well as a great friend to the Bigfork community. Rey is a man of great humor and compassion, a wealth of information and stories, a hard worker and a man of principle.
Rey and I have served on the Board of Directors of “The National Organization to Save Flathead Lake” and during our time he continues to bring fresh ideas to the table to try and protect access to our precious jewel for years to come.
Of course, none of us stand alone, Rey’s rock is the incredible, beautiful Kathy who is by his side through thick and thin and I cherish both of their friendships.”-Carole

One of the most meaningful examples of their commitment to our community is something they are helping make possible right here in the Flathead Valley. Rey and Kathy are providing the land for the new Flathead Valley Cross, and are actively working with other community members to get it funded and built. The cross will be located just north of where the old Bigfork cross was, and on the opposite side of the road. When completed, the cross will be a visible, illuminated landmark across the valley- with views all the way from Sliters Park in Somers. It is sure to be a beacon of hope for our little village and the whole valley and enjoyed by many generations to come.

tomorrow morning , Two Guns 💪 💪 will be conducting our first "Get Strong" class led by Coach Lori. Get Strong comes from Mayhem Faith. The class pairs a Mayhem Faith workout with Christian devotional reflection and discussion. Athletes of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome—watch the Wodify schedule to sign up! Our plan is to have this class the first Saturday of every month.
