During the beginning of the Covid pandemic, I took a free personality assessment and discovered I was an INFJ.
Whether you believe personality tests are perfectly accurate or not, what surprised me wasn’t the result itself—it was seeing many of my seemingly “quirky” habits and ways of thinking described on a page.
For much of my life, I often felt different from those around me. I was constantly analyzing, reflecting, looking for meaning, and trying to understand why people do what they do.
After my spinal cord injury, that curiosity turned inward. It became part of a larger journey of self-discovery.
That journey eventually led me back to graduate school, where I earned my MBA, and later gave me the confidence to return to the workforce after a 15-year hiatus.
The personality assessment didn’t change my life overnight. What it did was help me better understand myself—and sometimes that’s where growth begins. I’d love for people to share which MBTI they are.
