🏥 😷 IMPORTANT WA HEALTH INSURANCE INFO 😷 🏥

If you’ve lost your health insurance due to not having a job or income and live in WA, you can go to https://www.wahealthplanfinder.org/ and complete an application and you should be approved for WA Apple Health at no cost.

If you already have your health insurance through https://www.wahealthplanfinder.org/ and your household income has been reduced, you may qualify for a lower payment until your income returns to normal. If you qualify and the amount of the reduction will vary depending on total household income. We suggest talking with a professional to understand all the implications of this option.

For everyone else (in WA) that doesn’t have health insurance but has income above the Apple Health limit, there is a special open enrollment period available right now. Fill out and submit the application like normal. Right after submitting your application, answer the special enrollment questions if you’ve lost your insurance in the last 60 days or if any of the other life events are applicable.

If you have been without health insurance for longer than the 60 days, do not put a false answer in the special enrollment questionnaire. Instead, exit the application and contact John, your current broker or the healthplanfinder directly. This special enrollment does not let you switch plans mid-year; it is only for those currently uninsured.

One final note: There is no additional cost to you for being linked to a health broker unless that broker charges a fee. The broker may or may not receive a commission from being linked to your account depending on the plan and insurance company you have. We do not receive any compensation for assisting those who end up getting WA Apple Health and we do not charge a broker fee.

We are happy to help everyone regardless if we receive commission or not.

Qualifying Requirements:
• Must be currently uninsured
• Must have an application created and submitted before requesting a ticket
• Must enroll by April 8, 2020 for coverage start date beginning April 1, 2020
