𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 United Bank in Jay, Florida started with humble beginnings in the Scott’s Plaza Strip Mall before building its current location in 2006. The Jay team is deeply connected to the community — maintains strong relationships with local farmers, the agricultural industry, the Jay Elementary School and Jay High School. They proudly support the annual Farm to Table event, the Jay Pro Rodeo, and most farm-related events and meetings held at the Jay Community Center.

Here’s a fun fact about the branch! There is a field right next to the branch and every year the branch staff loves watching either peanuts or cotton grow.

Overall, our Jay team is committed to the continued success of the Jay community. A special thank you to our entire Jay staff for their dedication to both their community and United Bank.

The United Bank Charitable Foundation awards a $9,000 grant to Ecumenical Ministries' Repair Baldwin, a countywide home repair program. The organization works to “save the life” of homes by providing critical repairs that help low-income families remain in the homes they can afford.

Repair Baldwin focuses on making residences safe, sanitary, and structurally sound. Many of its projects involve full roof replacements to prevent further deterioration, along with major electrical and plumbing repairs, replacement of rotted flooring, and other essential structural improvements. The program also builds accessibility features such as handicap ramps to better support residents with mobility needs.

The United Bank Charitable Foundation Executive Director Marina Simpson, along with Branch Manager Marcia Jernigan and Community Bank Business Lender Jordan Chancey, presents the check to Ecumenical Ministries Executive Director Sally Deane.

Pilots for Christ receives a $10,000 grant from the United Bank Charitable Foundation to support its mission flight program, which provides free air transportation for patients traveling to critical medical appointments. Many of the individuals served by the organization lack the financial means to afford transportation for necessary care.

The grant will help Pilots for Christ maintain its aircraft and flight equipment in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, ensuring the organization can continue providing safe and reliable transportation at no cost to patients.

Pilots for Christ serves communities throughout the southeastern United States, helping connect patients with lifesaving and specialized medical care that might otherwise be out of reach.

The United Bank Charitable Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to CASA Mobile — Court Appointed Special Advocates. The grant will help the organization identify, recruit, and train additional CASA volunteers who serve as advocates for abused and neglected children involved in the juvenile court system.

Mobile County is one of the busiest juvenile courts in Alabama, handling numerous new cases each year. CASA Mobile’s goal is to provide every child with a dedicated CASA volunteer advocate. Support from the United Bank Charitable Foundation will help the nonprofit expand its volunteer network and move closer to meeting the growing need. Thank you, Theresa Whelen and John Goodroe, for leading the work that you do!
