This Friday during day time hours the Atmore Police Department Communications Office will be testing the new Weather Alert System recently installed in our city.

Citizens will need to be prepared to hear the Audible Siren while personnel are testing the system.

If you have damage from the weather events today, please call the number below to file your claim. Be sure to write down your claim numbers.

Take photos of the damage before making temporary repairs. Keep receipts for anything purchased to make those repairs.

Look out for downed or low hanging power lines and assume all of them are still energized. Please remember safety first!

Please stay safe!! That is the top priority! Take steps to prevent further damage and make temporary repairs such as placing tarps or plywood on damaged areas. Keep all receipts!
Please remember, DO NOT run portable generators indoors! If you must be on the roads after the storm and come upon floodwater- regardless of depth, TURN AROUND- DON’T DROWN!
Avoid all downed power lines and never directly hook up any generator to your home without proper transfer switches- back feed could kill a neighbor lineman and is a liability to you!
