How do you know I'm real? That's a GREAT question I just had a new client ask me, which is a very legitimate question upon finalizing policies and payments. They had AI suggest they call me, and with the new AI world, anything could be fabricated (unfortunately). Websites. People. Phone calls! Video calls! Although referrals (from real people) are the best introduction, we find new businesses/new connections via AI or the internet. So what sets me apart? What makes me real to someone who doesn't know me from Jane?

I have a CO state license.
I am registered under FINRA (federal registration and securities)
I have a website, pages, etc.
I can meet in person.

Interesting question to mull over in the current world we live in. Thoughts?

Wow, this is why shopping the insurance markets is so valuable.

A young driver wanted their first insurance apart from parents a few months ago. We shopped and found the best carrier offering acceptable coverage and payments.

Now the client is getting a new car, yay! But just the change in vehicle increased the premium by $649 for this carrier's 6 month policy. Bummer.

So, I shopped it around. A previous carrier had too high of premium, but this time when I looked... the premium was HALF the price. HALF! And even better coverage! We even went from a $2000 deductible, down to a $1000 deductible.

Apparently, the insurance algorithm gods liked this new car and gave us a great rate.

I'm so happy to help my client!

I am presenting to a prospect on video today. It brings me back to the COVID days of everything virtual. Remember those days?

I am glad that we have virtual meetings. I can share my screen, share my spreadsheets, share documents, and easily review insurance comparisons. It makes it easy when traveling is difficult or takes a lot of time.

I will say, my favorite form of presenting is still in person. Sitting next to someone, talking, having paper, writing down notes with a pen, and reading each other is incomparable! Maybe even over a cup of coffee together.

However, the same things can be done online. Cheers to online business meetings!

Follow up. Follow up. Let me say it again. Follow up!

Stay in communication. Keep people up to date. Be the leader in the relationship. Admittedly, this has been my weakness. Time flies sometimes and too much time has passed since the last communication. I must set myself reminders and tasks and notifications and schedule emails and anything else to follow up with clients and prospects.

My process isn’t perfect, but my intention is there.

If you are gifted, using a great system, or have wise advice- how do you do good follow ups?

And if you need to follow up with someone, go do it! Hurry! 📱🖥️📞📤

Homeowners/Renters ➡️: Did you know homeowners policies have SUBLIMITS for common items like watches, jewelry, fi****ms, china, art, collectibles, etc? That means in a claim, insurance only pays $### maximum as a sublimit to that category.

Check your policy to see if your items are properly insured, especially those items you really, really care about. If your items exceed those limits, you need to schedule (individually list) those items as an endorsement on your policy or insure them on a separate policy.

Being a business owner has perks.

the freedom I get to be home with my babies to nurture and care for them when they are sick is unparalleled. It is so worth it to be my own boss on days like today.

I’m thankful every day for Sells Insurance, my amazing family, the blessings of work and clients, and the freedom to prioritize my time the way I need to on some days.
