Organized and operated in Apollo, Pennsylvania in an effort to help the borough’s people better manage and safeguard their money, Apollo Trust Company has been going strong for over 145 years. 1871—The bank was established after a meeti
ng at Whitlinger’s Hall, the constitution and by-laws were adopted, and Apollo Savings Bank officially opened for business.
1895—Apollo Savings Bank obtained a state charter after operating as a private bank since it opened.
1901—Apollo Savings Bank changed its name to Apollo Trust Company.
1954—Apollo Trust Company purchased the assets of First National Bank of Apollo and assumed their liabilities in 1954.
1962—Apollo Trust Company opened a branch in North Apollo.
1974—The Spring Church and North Washington drive-thru offices opened.
1985—A third drive-thru location opened on North Second Street in Apollo.
1990—The North Washington office expanded to a full-service branch.
1996—Apollo Trust Company opened another full-service branch in Allegheny Township.
2013—The loan office opened in O’Hara Township, Allegheny County. Today, Apollo Trust operates two offices in Apollo and has branches in Allegheny Township, North Apollo, North Washington, and Spring Church, in addition to the loan office in the Fox Chapel area.
