Twenty years ago today, I officially opened my doors as a State Farm agent. Reaching this milestone has me looking back on where it all began.
Many of you know that I started this career a bit later in life. What you might not know is why…In 2004 I had a horrific car accident that completely changed mine and my family’s world. With 3 young sons and another on the way I knew that I had to find a way to make a better life for us. Navigating the aftermath of that crash taught me exactly what it feels like to be vulnerable, overwhelmed, and in need of a real advocate. State Farm was there for me personally and I knew this was what I needed to pursue in order to give back and help others just as I was helped.
That experience defined the kind of agent I promised myself I would always be. I wanted to be someone who truly understands the unexpected curveballs life throws at us, and someone who will always stand up and fight for their customers.
To my amazing family, incredible team members current and past, my dear friends, and this wonderful community: THANK YOU! Thank you all for your incredible trust, your business, and the profound honor of serving you for two decades. I am just as committed to protecting you today as I was on day one. I am incredibly blessed to serve you every day. Here’s to many more years of standing by your side!
