Big news for Medicare Part D members 💊

Starting July 1, 2026, a new pilot program called the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge may make certain weight loss medications more affordable for eligible beneficiaries.

Here are the highlights:
🔷 Covered medications currently include Wegovy, Zepbound (KwikPen formulation), and Foundayo
🔷 Eligible members would pay a flat $50 monthly copay, compared to typical retail prices that can exceed $1,000
🔷 Eligibility is based on BMI plus related health conditions
🔷 Prior authorization from a doctor is required
🔷 The program runs through December 31, 2027

This is one of the most significant Medicare drug coverage changes in years. If you've ever wondered whether GLP-1 medications might fit your health picture, this is worth a closer look.

Are You 65+ and Thinking About Dental Coverage? You’re Not Alone.

Original Medicare and some Medicare Advantage plans don't cover routine dental care — and nearly half of all seniors have no dental insurance at all. That’s a big risk, especially since:
👉 20% of seniors have untreated tooth decay
👉 68% have gum disease
👉 1 in 5 have lost all their teeth

💡 Affordable options exist — but it helps to know what to look for:
✔️ Medicare Advantage Plans – Some include dental or offer add-ons (avg. $284/year)
✔️ Private Stand-Alone Plans – $20–$80/month for cleanings, dentures & more
✔️ Dental Discount Plans – Membership-based savings (no waiting periods!)
✔️ Other Resources – VA benefits, dental schools, and local clinics

🎯 Pro tip: Some plans have waiting periods and benefit caps, so the right fit depends on your needs.

Ready to explore your options? We can help you find the best coverage (or discount strategy) for your smile and your wallet. 😄💬

🧠 June is Alzheimer's & Brain Health Awareness Month

Alzheimer’s affects more than 7 million Americans, and Medicare gives you some good tools to support it.

✅ Your yearly Medicare "Wellness" visit includes a no-cost cognitive check-in to screen for early signs of memory or cognitive issues. ✅ If your provider notices anything, Medicare also covers a separate, more in-depth cognitive care planning visit. ✅ Caregivers are welcome to attend these visits, ask questions, and help build a care plan together.

There is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s, but early diagnosis can open the door to better treatment and support options. So don’t put it off. 💛 This June, consider scheduling your wellness visit and starting an open conversation with your loved ones about brain health.

When most people think of health insurance, they focus on medical coverage — doctor visits, hospital care, and prescriptions. But what about vision and dental? These two areas of coverage are often overlooked, yet they play a major role in your overall health and well-being.

Routine eye exams can catch more than just changes in your prescription — they can detect conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and glaucoma. For older adults especially, early detection is key to maintaining independence and quality of life.

Dental health is just as important. Gum disease has been linked to serious health conditions, including heart disease and stroke. Without coverage, many people skip preventive care like cleanings and checkups, which can lead to more serious — and expensive — issues later on.

The truth is, comprehensive health care includes more than medical visits. Protecting your eyes and your smile protects your long-term health. Don’t leave vision and dental out of the picture.

Medicare & CBD: What’s Real vs. What’s Still Unclear

You may be hearing that Medicare is now covering CBD, but the reality is far more nuanced.

Here’s what we know:
✔ A very limited Medicare pilot program launched in April 2026
✔ It allows certain providers to offer some very limited types of hemp-derived CBD products to eligible patients, if they are aligned to a program authorized by CMS to provide the limited CBD benefit
✔ Coverage is very limited—not all beneficiaries qualify
✔ You can’t purchase CBD on your own and get reimbursed

What’s still up in the air:
❓ Who will actually have access (depends on participating providers)
❓ How widely the program will expand
❓ Ongoing legal and regulatory challenges
❓ Whether this could lead to broader Medicare coverage in the future

This is an early-stage pilot and research program, not a standard Medicare benefit. While it’s a step toward exploring CBD in healthcare, access remains limited and the future is still uncertain.

Want to know if you can participate? Start by talking to your doctor or healthcare plan provider—they’re the gatekeepers for this pilot. If they’re not involved, the program likely isn’t accessible to you (at least for now).

Considering dental implants? Here’s what to expect.

Dental implants can be a life-changing way to restore your smile and confidence. Understanding the process before you begin helps you make the best decision for your health and your budget.

Implant treatment usually happens in several stages — consultation, placement, healing, and restoration — and the timeline can vary based on your oral health. With realistic expectations and proper planning, most people find the results well worth it.

It’s also important to know how insurance fits in. Original Medicare doesn’t typically cover dental implants, and private or Marketplace dental plans may offer partial benefits. Knowing what’s included in your policy helps you plan ahead and avoid unexpected costs.

Implants can be an excellent choice — and informed decisions make for confident smiles.

➡️ Before moving forward, take time to review your dental policy with a licensed broker. They can help you understand what’s covered and whether a different plan might better support your dental health goals.

🦷 Did you know 1 in 5 people with diabetes have gum disease? And poor gum health can actually raise blood sugar and increase long-term costs for people managing diabetes!

Routine dental care can reduce complications and help employees (and you) manage healthcare costs over time.

George Clooney turns 65 this month, and honestly, he’s still making it look effortless.

From ER to Ocean’s Eleven, The Descendants to Ticket to Paradise, Clooney has built a career full of iconic roles, timeless charm, and just the right amount of mischief. Whether you know him as Danny Ocean, Dr. Ross, or just “that guy who somehow doesn’t age,” he’s been a staple on our screens for decades.

Milestone birthdays like this tend to get people reflecting, not just on great movies, but on what comes next.

For most Americans, turning 65 isn’t just another birthday, it’s also when Medicare eligibility begins.

That means a new set of decisions around healthcare coverage, timing, and plan options. While Clooney may have a team to help him sort things out, most people benefit from a little guidance of their own.

If you or someone you know is approaching 65, it’s a great time to start exploring your Medicare options and understanding what fits your needs best.

🎬 First, though, we have to ask, what’s your favorite George Clooney role? Drop it in the comments!

Most people are surprised to learn that dental insurance doesn’t work like medical insurance—especially when major procedures are involved. 🦷

In a recent case, a patient needed extensive work to repair failing dental implants. The total cost came close to $50,000. Even though they had dental insurance, the plan’s annual maximum was relatively low, so insurance covered only a small portion of the expense. The majority of the cost had to be paid out of pocket.

Situations like this are more common than many people realize. Most standard dental plans are designed to help with cleanings, exams, and basic procedures—not high-cost restorative work like implants, oral surgery, or complex repairs.

The good news is that better options do exist. Certain high-benefit dental insurance plans offer higher annual maximums and may include coverage for major services, including implants. While no dental plan covers everything, choosing the right coverage before major work is needed can significantly reduce financial stress.

If you have dental implants, a history of dental issues, or simply want to plan ahead, it may be time to review your coverage. 💡

👉 Not sure if your dental plan would hold up in a worst-case scenario?

Let’s talk about dental coverage options that may better protect you long term.
