May is Mental Health Awareness Month—and this one is personal for me.

The day after my 19th birthday, I lost my dad unexpectedly. Overnight, my mom was grieving and trying to figure out what came next. Watching her carry that weight reminded me of something I still believe today: when life changes suddenly, emotional stress and practical stress often hit at the same time.
I can’t change what happened to my family—but I can help others feel more supported and more prepared. For many people, peace of mind starts with small steps: having conversations, getting organized, and knowing you have a plan and people in your corner.

If you’re going through a heavy season, please know you’re not alone. ❤️

Should you take Social Security early? It depends on your unique needs. Before deciding, make sure to take the pros and cons into consideration.

Together, we can talk about your Social Security income and retirement savings to help determine whether claiming benefits early makes sense.

You can claim your Social Security retirement benefits as early as age 62. If you have limited retirement savings or more immediate income needs, delaying benefits can feel like a missed opportunity, especially if you're in good health or have other resources available. Here's why it may pay to…

🌧️ Mother Nature had other plans for tomorrow’s Tree Planting & FSG Family Picnic at North Park.

After watching the forecast closely, we’ve decided to postpone the event to a later date so we can create the best possible experience for everyone involved (and avoid planting 150 trees in a mud pit 😅).

We’re still excited to partner with Allegheny County Parks Foundation and look forward to rescheduling the event later this year with hopefully a little more sunshine and even more community involvement. 🌱

Thank you to everyone who planned to attend, volunteer, and support the event. We truly appreciate it and can’t wait to gather together soon!

Stay tuned for future details. 💚

As National Volunteer Week wraps up, I’ve been reflecting on the role NAWA (North Allegheny Women’s Association) has played in my life.

What started as “getting involved locally” has turned into something much more meaningful.

Through NAWA, I’ve had the opportunity to:
– assemble care items and gifts
– support causes that matter
– celebrating incredible women
– and yes… occasionally wearing bunny ears 🐰

Grateful to be part of a community that lives that out!
