👏 Bryon DiGiorgio has been promoted to Director of Compliance.
Since joining the firm in 2006, Bryon has played an integral role in supporting our clients and navigating complex ERISA and regulatory matters. His attention to detail, deep technical knowledge, and commitment to doing things the right way make him a natural fit to lead our compliance efforts.

👏 Michele Cieszynski has been promoted to Director of Employee Development.
With over two decades at Metro Benefits, Michele has long been a trusted consultant to our clients. In her expanded leadership role, she will focus on strengthening our internal learning strategies and supporting the growth and development of our team — ensuring we continue delivering exceptional service.

2026 marks a big milestone for us — 40 years of helping our clients and partners navigate their retirement plan goals. To celebrate, we’re sharing a copy of Metro Benefits’ very first newsletter, written by our founder himself, David Lipkin, back in 1987.

Huge thanks to David for starting this company with a vision that’s still guiding us four decades later. And an even bigger thank you to our clients, partners, industry peers, and employees — your trust, collaboration, and dedication are what make this work meaningful (and fun).

Metro wrapped up our Thanksgiving food drive this week… and let’s just say our team/partners showed up hungry to help.

We collected 1,557 food items for the food bank — an incredible boost for our surrounding communities right before the holiday.
• 438 items from Pittsburgh
• 1,119 items from our West Virginia crew (seriously... wow).

On top of that, we generated $400 in cash donations, and Metro matched it — bringing the total to $800 donated directly to the food bank.

We’re feeling incredibly grateful to work alongside people who step up for others in such a big way. Giving back together is pretty much the best way to kick off the holiday season.

IR-2025-111, Nov. 13, 2025 — The Internal Revenue Service announced today that the amount individuals can contribute to their 401(k) plans in 2026 has increased to $24,500, up from $23,500 for 2025.

Our West Virginia office is also stepping up in a big way this season! 🧡

They’ve partnered with several local businesses to support Jackson County food pantries that are in serious need of donations. With the ongoing government shutdown and the holidays fast approaching, the timing couldn’t be more important.

We’re proud of our WV team for rallying their community to make sure no one goes without this Thanksgiving. Every can, box, and bag makes a difference!

This Thanksgiving season, we’re hosting another Food Drive to support local families in need. Donations can be dropped off until November 24 — all details are included on the flyer below.

While some things may be on “pause,” kindness and generosity are still in full swing. Let’s come together to make sure every table has something to be thankful for this year. 🦃
