Turns out the secret to surviving a Pittsburgh heat wave is cold beer, good people, and nine innings at PNC Park. ⚾

Last night, the Metro Benefits team kicked things off with a tailgate (shoutout to Pittsburgh's signature 86° with 100% humidity weather) where we enjoyed good food, cold beer, and even better company before heading into the game.

The Pirates certainly didn't disappoint—we got to watch an incredible game from start to finish!

As if the night couldn't get any better, Pittsburgh's own Fungi Flows stopped by our tailgate and surprised us with a custom Metro Benefits freestyle. Safe to say it was one of the highlights of the evening. (Yes, there's video. No, you're not getting it. 😂)

It's nights like these that remind us how lucky we are to work alongside such an amazing team. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it one to remember!

Building relationships, sharing ideas, and staying connected with the accounting community are all part of helping retirement plans succeed.

Last month, Christine Lestitian, Managing Consultant, and Michele Cieszynski, Director of Employee Development, represented Metro Benefits at the WV Society of CPAs Annual Meeting held June 17–20 at the beautiful Greenbrier Resort.

It was a great opportunity to connect with CPAs from across the region, discuss today's retirement plan landscape, and share how Metro Benefits partners with advisors and accounting professionals to support plan sponsors and participants.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth—we enjoyed the conversations and look forward to continuing to build new relationships!

We’re excited to welcome Metro’s first summer intern!

Ryan Smith, an Accounting major at Duquesne University, officially started with us today and will be helping the team throughout the summer.

As Russ’ son, he’s had a pretty good introduction to the business already — but now he gets to see the day-to-day side of things firsthand. And judging by day one, he’s already matching the boss… literally and figuratively. 😂

We’re excited to have him on board and looking forward to a great summer with the Metro team!
