As summer winds down, it's time to say goodbye to three interns who made Liberty Capital Bank a little brighter this season.

Grant Roberson at our Boerne branch, and Erin Bates and Jack Sawyer at our Addison branch, thank you for showing up, diving in, and reminding us why we love what we do.

This summer, our interns didn't just observe — they got their hands dirty in the real work of community banking. From underwriting memos and Periodic Account Reviews to cash flow analysis and loan renewal memorandums, they contributed meaningfully to our credit team from day one.

As you head back to Baylor and Texas A&M, we hope your time here gave you a real look at what community banking is all about — the relationships, the work, and the people behind it.

This month, our Behind the Brand highlights Troy Bethel, SVP – Commercial Relationship Manager at our San Antonio branch, and shares a little about who he is outside of Liberty Capital Bank.

Troy has spent 13 years in the banking industry and joined Liberty Capital Bank in April 2025 after serving in several leadership roles at Frost, most recently as Senior Vice President. Since joining LCB, he's enjoyed the transparency of the organization and the opportunity to stay connected with executive leadership, while being part of a team with a clear vision for the future.

Outside of work, Troy enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and fishing whenever he gets the chance.

Troy earned his education at Del Mar College and Texas A&M University–Commerce (now East Texas A&M University), providing the foundation for a successful career in banking and leadership.

In addition to his banking career, Troy is passionate about serving his community. He proudly served as a City Councilmember in his hometown of Portland for seven years. During his tenure, the council was honored as the 2025 Texas City Management Association's City Council of the Year, a recognition that reflects the team's commitment to serving their community.

We're grateful to have Troy as part of the Liberty Capital Bank team and appreciate the experience, leadership, and community-focused mindset he brings to our customers and colleagues every day.

Liberty Capital Bank closed a $3.2 million construction-to-permanent loan for a retail center, providing a single financing solution that carried the project from the first shovel in the ground through to permanent financing at completion.

Rather than requiring the borrower to secure separate construction financing and then refinance into a permanent loan, LCB structured a single facility that converted seamlessly — reducing complexity, closing costs, and uncertainty throughout the build.
