We are a leading microfinance institution that empowers individuals and communities to break the cycle of poverty through access to financial services. FINCA Uganda started its operations in Jinja District in 1992 as a microfinance institution. In 2004, FINCA Uganda was licensed as a Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution (MDI) thus becoming the first MDI to be regulated by Bank of Uganda under t

he MDI Act of 2003. FINCA Uganda is part of the FINCA Impact Finance Network, a group of 20 microfinance and financial institutions that provides socially responsible financial services and enables low-income entrepreneurs and small business owners to invest in the future. FINCA Impact Finance’s network of 20 microfinance institutions and banks provides responsible financial services that enables low-income entrepreneurs and small business owners to invest in their future. The majority owner of the network is FINCA International, a microfinance and social enterprise not-for-profit leader dedicated to creating economic inclusion for the poor. Not only are we part of a global microfinance organization but one thing that makes us different is our mission, which is to bring the benefits of micro-finance to as many low-income entrepreneurs as our financial and personnel resources allow. Besides this, our 28 years of experience in Uganda puts us in a much better position of understanding our clients more that any other microfinance institution and being able to provide relevant financial solutions that have a positive impact on the lives of those accessing them. Currently, we take Savings, give Loans and offer Money transfer services to our clients across our 27 networked branches and Points of Service (POS) agencies countrywide through a technology-enabled multi-channel delivery system. In addition, together with other development partners, FINCA Uganda offers financial literacy to all her clients. Under this program, customers are equipped with basic financial management skills such as budgeting, saving, bookkeeping and investment. We offer a bouquet of life-changing financial products and services that are intended to serve the various needs of our customers in a fast, secure and transparent manner. Our service delivery is further enhanced by our multi-channel system which is technology driven to ensure effective turn around time and convenience to the customer.
