Two different headlines, both in the news recently.

I’m not sharing this to judge anyone in it.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s about how smart or dumb anyone was. I think it’s about wanting someone else to have the answer, especially when you’re tired of figuring it out alone.

When I say “does this fit into your bigger financial picture,” I really just mean, do you know what this money is actually for, and how it’s supposed to grow? Or does it just sound good?

Sometimes it’s the boring stuff that does. Not the fastest fund, not the highest promised return, just something you actually understand.

Returns matter. Structure and transparency do too.

I thought I went away for three days to learn how to be still amidst the busyness.

But I came back realising it was less about stillness and more about allowing.

Allowing some things to wait.
Allowing ourselves to choose what matters now.
Allowing today to be enough, even when there’s still more to do.

Maybe that’s where clarity comes from too.

Not from having everything figured out, but from being clear about what matters and allowing ourselves to honour that.

It sounds simple. It’s much harder to practise.

But maybe we can start from here, a little more allowing, and a little less fighting ourselves every day. ❤️

I’ve never told this story publicly before today.

Not because it’s a secret. Because it took me a long time to see it clearly enough to say out loud.

It’s easier to talk about spreadsheets than about where our money habits actually come from.

And honestly, I think a lot of us are running our finances off a feeling we picked up before we even understood what money was.

I’m sharing this now because I think a lot of women carry a version of this and never say it out loud either.
