It's not romantic.

I think it's the "I trust you with my life" kind of love.

I think it's the "You stayed with me through my darkest days" kind of love.

I think it's the "You gave me hope when I thought I had none left" kind of love.

As a doctor, I don't expect these words. But every now and then, when a patient sends a message like this, it reminds me why I chose this profession.

And it's finally out!

Proud to have been one of the authors of the Philippine Clinical Practice Guideline for Periodic Health Examination: Screening for Neoplastic Diseases, now published in Acta Medica Philippina.

As we continue to emphasize early cancer detection, I hope this guideline helps promote evidence-based and appropriate cancer screening in the Philippines.
