In a world of shifting power, those who define trust, define the future.

Last Friday we were honoured to host the 8th Internal Audit Leaders' Conclave to discuss a fundamental shift in our industry. Internal audit is stepping into its role as a strategic partner in building resilient African capital markets.

Beyond traditional assurance, the modern auditor is an intelligence function, detecting invisible risks, embracing technology, and ensuring that our institutions are built on a foundation of absolute transparency.

A huge thank you to the leaders who joined us to explore how we can move from simply verifying the past to actively securing the future.

Last week, our CEO, Frank Mwiti participated in the New African Financial Architecture (NAFA) Dialogue in Abidjan, hosted by the African Development Bank.

The sessions brought together key policymakers, financial leaders, and market stakeholders to explore practical pathways for reshaping Africa’s financial systems, strengthening capital mobilisation, and accelerating the continent’s economic transformation.

During the discussions, our CEO emphasized that African capital markets, anchored by strong and dynamic stock exchanges, must be placed at the centre of the NAFA agenda.

Well-functioning exchanges can mobilise domestic savings, attract long-term investment, improve transparency, and connect capital to enterprise at scale.

He noted that when Africa gets this right continent will be able to finance its own transformation and unlock a new era of inclusive and sustainable growth.
