The Kenya National Police Deposit-Taking SACCO was established in 1972 under the Cooperative Societies Act (Cap 490) of the Laws of Kenya. From an initial membership of just 690 members, Kenya National Police DT SACCO now serves over 84,000 members across the country and the diaspora, with an asset base of over KES 68 Billion, member deposits of over KES 39 Billion and a loan portfolio of over KES

56 Billion. Since its inception, the SACCO has been dedicated to promoting a culture of saving and providing affordable credit facilities to its members. Initially the society drew all its membership from the National Police Service and SACCO employees, however, the society revised its by-laws and now extends services to everyone.

Yesterday, Kenya National Police DT SACCO team was at the Anti Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) Gilgil for an engaging session focused on empowering our members with the knowledge and tools to make sound financial decisions.

The session was led by our GM, Operations & Strategy, Mr. Simon Tanui, and the team was warmly received by the General Staffing Officer (GSO), Mr. Kennedy Barasa.

Kenya National Police DT SACCO was delighted to welcome a delegation from The Gambia for a Learn & Share engagement focused on exchanging experiences and best practices in the cooperative movement.

The delegation comprised Brig. Gen. Sait Njie and Maj. Fatou Betty from the Gambia Armed Forces Cooperative Credit Union (GAFCCU), and Mr. Yankuba Touray from the National Association of Co-operative Credit Unions of The Gambia (NACCUG).

They were received and welcomed by our CEO, Mr. Solomon Atsiaya, alongside Risk & Compliance Manager, Andrew Saibulu, and Marketing Manager, Ann Njuguna.

We are proud to facilitate knowledge exchange, strengthen cooperation and build partnerships that contribute to a stronger and more resilient cooperative movement.
