THE COOPERATIVE TALK
The County Government of Meru Trade, Tourism and Cooperatives CECM Rev. Carol Kaberia alongside Ag. Chief Officer Sandi Mugambi had a consultative meeting with the directors of Jamii Yetu Sacco at the Sacco’s Maua Branch to discuss the institution’s operational progress, achievements, and strategic plans towards attaining Tier One status.

The Sacco leadership highlighted ongoing initiatives focused on strengthening service delivery, enhancing financial inclusion, embracing innovation, and empowering members through accessible and reliable financial services.

Rev. Carol commended the Sacco for its exemplary leadership, sound governance structures, and prudent resource management practices, noting that such efforts continue to strengthen confidence among members and stakeholders within the cooperative movement.

She acknowledged the critical role cooperative societies play in mobilizing savings, facilitating investments, supporting small businesses, and empowering farmers and entrepreneurs towards sustainable socio-economic growth.

Ag. Chief Officer Sandi Mugambi also lauded the Sacco’s management for maintaining operational efficiency and fostering sustainable growth despite prevailing economic challenges. He encouraged continued innovation, transparency, and member-centered service delivery to further strengthen the Sacco sector.

The meeting further emphasized the importance of collaboration, capacity building, and strategic partnerships in enhancing the contribution of cooperative societies towards economic empowerment and community development.
