Introducing BEYOND: JORDAN ✨

Ten unhurried days in Jordan, in remarkable company.

We're delighted to introduce BEYOND, a new annual travel experience created by Eva Wealth and hosted by our founder, Sarah Roughsedge.

From 7-16 October 2027, a small group of women will travel through Jordan, discovering its extraordinary landscapes, rich culture and the people who make it such a special place.

From exploring Amman's lively streets and experiencing Petra by candlelight to evenings beneath the desert skies of Wadi Rum and two unhurried days at the Dead Sea, this is a journey designed to be enjoyed at your own pace.

But BEYOND is about more than travel.

At Eva Wealth, we spend a lot of time helping women build the financial freedom to live life on their own terms. BEYOND is about enjoying that freedom.

Making time for new experiences. Meeting interesting people. Discovering somewhere extraordinary, without having to organise every detail yourself.

There are shared experiences when you want company and plenty of opportunities to enjoy time to yourself.

And you don't need to be an Eva Wealth client to join us.

Diversification won’t stop every storm. It changes how well you weather it.

Most people judge diversification by whether it stopped them losing money. In a sharp downturn, it often doesn’t, and that’s when the doubts creep in.

But that was never really its job. Its value shows up in what you’re not forced to do: sell at the bottom to meet a commitment, make a significant decision under pressure, or let one bad year in one market rewrite plans that were built to run for decades.

A well-structured portfolio still feels the storm. The difference is that you keep the choice over what happens next.

So when markets turn, the more useful question isn’t how much has fallen. It’s what you’re still free to do.

When you’ve built a business, inherited wealth or spent years putting plans in place for your family, you want to know where the Budget leaves you.

Following the Autumn Budget, we’ll share Eva Wealth’s overview of the key announcements and what they could mean for the wealth you hold.

We’re preparing it with the women we work with in mind: women whose wealth comes with decisions, responsibilities and plans that matter deeply to them. It will give you a considered view of what’s changed and what may deserve a closer look in your own circumstances.

If you’d like it sent straight to your inbox, leave your email address via the link in the comments. You’ll be among the first to receive it once it’s ready.

Concentration is often how significant wealth is created. It is rarely how it is kept.

Many of the women we work with built their wealth by going all in on one business, one property portfolio or one career. After an exit, an inheritance or a settlement, that same instinct can become the largest risk in the picture.

And it often sits outside the portfolio entirely: retained shares in a business that has been sold, property that dominates net worth, or a single income stream that everything else quietly relies on.

So the question isn’t whether your investments are diversified. It’s whether your wealth is.

Your business is one asset. Your security shouldn't depend on it alone.

It's easy to pour everything back in when the business is going well - growth feels exciting, and it's tempting to keep backing it. But real security comes from knowing your future doesn't rise and fall with one thing.

Where's the balance for you right now - mostly reinvesting, or have you already started building outside the business too?

Most business owners plan for growth. Fewer plan for what happens if the business doesn't perform the way they hoped.

I see this a lot with the women I work with who've built something of their own: every spare pound goes back into the business, because that's where the energy and the upside are. Understandable. But it also means their entire financial security is tied to one asset.

In this video, I talk about how we help owners find the balance - including a simple approach we often suggest for deciding how much stays in the business and how much comes out to build a life that doesn't depend on it.

Your business can be backed with confidence. It shouldn't be the only thing holding you up.

Have a watch.

A robust plan accounts for what might come, including the cost of care.

It's not the most comfortable line to sit with. But I've found that the women who think about this early are the ones who feel most at ease later - not because they know exactly what will happen, but because they know their plan can absorb it if it does.

I'm curious where this sits for you and your family. Is care something you've already factored in - or one of those questions that's been quietly waiting for the right moment?

03/09/2026

The question most financial plans quietly avoid: what happens if you need care one day?

Not because anyone likes thinking about it. I don't either, if I'm honest. But I've sat with enough women through enough transitions to know that the plans that hold up are the ones that looked this in the eye early - not the ones that hoped it wouldn't come up.

So it's something we build in properly. Not as a worst-case footnote, but as a real scenario we model, test and plan around - including the one thing I always caution women against when they try to "protect" their assets from care costs.

This isn't about predicting the future. It's about knowing your plan can hold whatever it brings.

Have a watch - I think this is one of the more important conversations to have.

Your financial plan shouldn’t force you to choose between security and freedom.

Some parts of life benefit from certainty - knowing essential spending is covered and your future plans are protected.

Other parts need flexibility, giving you room to adapt as your priorities, family or circumstances change.

The right financial structure can help you achieve both.

It’s about creating enough certainty to feel secure, while keeping enough flexibility to enjoy the life you’ve worked hard to build.
