Blundell's School Peter Blundell was one of the wealthiest merchants of Elizabethan, England and died in 1601.

Blundell’s is a dynamic independent school set in the Devon countryside, inspiring pupils to achieve their potential through academic excellence, co-curricular opportunity and strong pastoral care. Ollie will take his passion for music and technical theatre to the next level after gaining 2 A*s and an A and securing his place at City St George’s, University of London, to study Music, Sound and Technology.

Ollie has made an exceptional contribution to the technical side of performing arts at Blundell’s. Since Year 9, he has been involved in the stage management of almost every senior school production, including As You Like It, Dracula, We Will Rock You, Les Misérables, The Watsons and many others. He has also designed the lighting and sound for GCSE and A Level productions, including full lighting and sound design for Things I Know To Be True.

His achievements have been recognised with Drama Technical Full Colours, Music Technical Half Colours and a Speech Day award for Stage Management. Academically, Ollie also achieved the top score in school in the Bebras Computing Challenge in 2026.

Ollie’s combination of academic ability, technical expertise and extraordinary commitment to the performing arts has made him a hugely valued member of the Blundell’s community.

🏇 Representing England! 🏴

We are delighted to share the fantastic news that OB Georgina Pitts has been selected to represent England at the 2026 Endurance Home International with her horse, Tia.

Taking place in Scotland from 4–6 September, the Home International brings together riders from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland to compete across a range of endurance distances.

Even more impressively, Georgina only began endurance riding at the start of this year. Her selection is a brilliant achievement and a testament to the hard work and partnership she and Tia have built in such a short space of time.

Georgina has also recently spoken about her selection on BBC Radio Devon, with Georgina and Tia featuring on BBC Spotlight.

A huge congratulations to OB Georgina Pitts, and the very best of luck to Georgina and Tia as they represent England this weekend! 🐴

Delilah’s 2 A*s and 2 As have secured her place at Oxford School of Drama to study Acting, following a remarkable contribution to the performing arts at Blundell’s.

Delilah has made an exceptional contribution to the performing arts at Blundell’s. She has taken leading roles including Laura in The Watsons, Rosie in Things I Know to Be True and Sarah Ridd in Lorna Doone, while also performing in Dracula and Les Misérables. She has achieved Grade 8 Distinction in Speech and Drama, with Distinctions at every grade from Grades 3–7.

Her musical achievements are equally impressive. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Delilah has achieved Grade 8 Merit in Violin, played in the Les Misérables orchestra and twice led the orchestra in the Spring Concert, as well as performing in Vexations and Resolutions.

Delilah’s combination of academic achievement, dramatic talent and musical leadership has made her a hugely valued member of the Blundell’s community.

Rose is taking her talents to New York, having secured a combined Academic and Swimming Scholarship to Stony Brook University.

Rose has been an exceptional swimmer throughout her time at Blundell’s. She has represented the school at the highest level, including competing in U18 swimming from Year 8, reaching the final of the ESSA Swimming competition and serving as Swimming Captain. Her achievements have been recognised with Swimming Full Colours.

Rose has also demonstrated considerable academic strength, achieving Silver in the Biology Olympiad and Gold in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.

Her success in combining academic achievement with high-level sporting commitment is a wonderful reflection of the determination and ambition that she has brought to her time at Blundell’s.

Sport Scholarships at Blundell’s – 13+ and 16+

For pupils with talent, determination and a passion for sport, a Sport Scholarship at Blundell’s offers the opportunity to develop performance, build confidence and push themselves to achieve at the highest level.

Sport Scholars are supported through expert coaching, strength and conditioning, competitive fixtures and a wide range of sporting opportunities, while being encouraged to contribute fully to the wider life of the School.

Henry leaves Blundell’s with 3 A*s and an A, alongside an extraordinary record of achievement across sport, music and drama.

Henry has made an outstanding contribution across the sporting and performing arts life of Blundell’s. He has played 1st XI Cricket since Year 10 and served as vice-captain, represented the school in 1st XV Rugby and made appearances for 1st XI Football, as well as representing Devon U18 Cricket.

Alongside his sporting achievements, Henry has gained the coveted White Jacket for three separate Full Colours awards, achieved Distinctions in Grade 8 Acting and Grade 8 Clarinet, and performed the role of Javert in Les Misérables. He has also been a lead bass in Blundell’s Cantorum and performed solos in the Spring Concert.

Henry’s combination of academic achievement, sporting leadership and exceptional contribution to the performing arts is testament to his breadth of talent and commitment to school life.
