The 2026 Taste East Devon Festival is now underway, celebrating the incredible food, drink and people that make East Devon such a special place.

Last night, Taste East Devon Festival 2026 officially launched at Darts Farm’s Pebblebed Vineyard , thanks to Darts Farm for hosting us. Speeches, a vineyard tour and w**e tasting set the tone for nine days celebrating the food, drink and people of East Devon.

None of this happens without our sponsors. Huge thanks to NFU Mutual Exeter, Tiverton and South Molton, Goosemoor - Food Service, Coreus Group, Clockwork Marketing, Sungift Solar and East Devon for backing the festival.

Thank you too to our steering committee, who shape and deliver the festival every year: Fiona Moores, Ruud Jansen Venneboer (Mazzard Farm), John Crouch (East Devon Excellence), Anthony Letcher (Southleigh Holidays) and George Dart (Darts Farm).

On Friday 18th September, the team at CHAT (Churches Housing Action Team) will be spending the night outside at Tiverton Town Football Club as part of their Sponsored Sleepout, raising vital funds and standing in solidarity with people in our community facing homelessness and housing insecurity.

One simple question sits at the heart of this year's event: What is your bed worth to you?

At the end of a long day, most of us return home, close the door and climb into a warm, safe bed without a second thought. For many people locally, that security doesn't exist.

If you can't take part in the Sleepout, why not consider donating the value of that comfort? Whether that's £5, £10, £20 or more, your donation can help provide support, advice and practical assistance to people experiencing homelessness and housing crisis across our local community.

It’s 🚁

This week highlights the vital, life-saving work of air ambulance charities across the UK.

We’re proud to say that we recently nominated Devon Air Ambulance to receive a donation of £7,899 from NFU Mutual’s Agency Giving Fund to support their vital work. Some of the team went to the Steve Ford Airbase Eaglescott to meet the crew, have a tour of the helicopter and learn more about the vital work the Devon Air Ambulance team carry out every day.

These contributions help ensure critical care reaches those who need it most, when every second counts.

Last night, Lucy and Suzannah were delighted to attend the official launch of the Taste East Devon Festival at Pebblebed Vineyard.

The evening provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the region's thriving food and drink sector, including a fascinating vineyard tour and insight into w**emaking from George of Darts Farm along with some yummy tastings, including their new Orange w**e!

August in pictures - What a fantastic month it's been!

From enjoying the atmosphere at the North Devon Show, cheering on competitors at the Raceworld Karting Construction Cup, catching up with Ellie and John, and taking part in the Funder Games football match to raise money for Hospiscare. August has been packed with memorable moments and community spirit.

A particular highlight for our team was visiting Steve Ford Airbase at Eaglescott, home of one of the Devon Air Ambulance. We were proud to present a cheque for £7,899 from NFU Mutual's Agency Giving Fund and grateful for the opportunity to tour the airbase and see the helicopter up close. It was an inspiring experience to learn more about the incredible lifesaving work the charity carries out across Devon.
