One such case involved a hydropower project within the Scottish borders. When the broker approached traditional lenders they required a large portion of project equity in addition to the interest charges. But we could provide a secured loan without the need for equity.
This allowed the borrower to get the project off the ground and then refinance to the high street at a later date. Giving him greater flexibility.
