Hi everyone!
I've recently returned from a fantastic 7-night stay in the beautiful resort of Sorrento, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you.
My holiday started with a flight from Newcastle International Airport with TUI. The night before departure, I stayed at the Britannia Hotel Newcastle Airport, with parking booked through Holiday Extras. It was excellent value for money and just a two-minute walk from the terminal.
After landing at Naples International Airport, we transferred by minibus to Sorrento. The journey took around 90 minutes, although this can vary depending on traffic. The coastal views along the way were absolutely breath-taking and a perfect introduction to this stunning part of Italy.
For my stay, I chose the Hotel Admiral, located in the charming Marina Grande area. It reminded me of a traditional Italian fishing village, full of character, with wonderful seafood restaurants and a couple of lovely bars right on the waterfront.
The hotel itself is small, modern, and spotlessly clean, with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. I stayed on a bed and breakfast basis in a double sea-view room with a balcony, and the views each morning were simply stunning.
The hotel is approximately a 15-minute walk from the centre of Sorrento. The route is a little steep in places and includes some cobbled streets, but it's well worth it once you reach the town.
Sorrento itself is a fantastic destination, offering:

☀️ A wonderful Italian atmosphere
There's also so much to explore along the coast. Popular excursions include:
