We were delighted to welcome Chris Hinchliff MP to our Royston branch on Friday.

It was great to discuss Saffron's role in the Royston community, and highlight the volunteering and fundraising the branch staff do.

We had an important discussion on financial education. We also had the opportunity to highlight our partnership with Money Ready, and shine a light on the important role the partnership plays in helping care-leavers.

We were pleased to highlight Saffron Community Fund's significant milestone, achieving £1 million in its endowment fund with Essex Community Foundation. Thank you to everyone who came down to Braintree Library on Friday and Saturday to support the grand opening of our new branch.

Congratulations to our 'crack the safe' winners, we had a great turn out with around 130 people having a crack at the safe.

A big thank you to Essex County Council, Essex Library Service, High Sheriff of Essex and Cllr Durham for their support, and for helping us cut the ribbon on our new branch.

You'll find Danielle and Lewis in the Braintree branch Monday-Friday between 9.30am-4.30pm.
