ASH HARTLEY had a great session at the res today landing 10 carp to 24lb, the biggest being this mirror, followed by a 20lb ghostie + 2 other carp at 19lb. There's been no signs of spawning now since the beginning of the week so hopefully that's it for this year. Floating baits and zigs are still banned for the time being though.
Also can I remind ALL ANGLERS to make sure that unhooking mats and landing nets are throughly dried before returning to any water, also to make sure you have carp care kits on you whilst fishing at the res. I must have given away at least 150 over the last 2 seasons so if you haven't got one pop into Reeled In or your local tackle shop and buy one please.

The fish are spawning again at the reservoir so please leave them to it, if they start spawning in your swim could you please move.
Also there's a suspected case of KHV not too far from the res, please make sure all your nets and unhooking mats are completely dry before returning to any water.
NO KEEPNETS TO BE USED.

Here's a few pictures taken over the last week or so, there's been plenty caught and the lakes been quite busy, we have had several low 20s out but the majority have been mid to upper doubles. Best fish out has been this cracking tench 🎣 . The fish have stopped spawning for now, but with the hot weather expected for the bank holiday weekend I would imagine they will start again!! So the ban on zigs and floaters will stay for the next couple of weeks.

What a bank holiday weekend that was !! Warm, Wet, and Windy,
It was like 3 seasons in one long weekend! Then to cap it off the fish started to spawn.
We were packed out on all 3 days, unfortunately none of the upper 20lbs or bigger fish turned up, but there were loads upper doubles to low 20s banked, tench to 5lb and bream to 8lb + the usual silvers for those who were fishing for them, one of the bigger fish went to one off our junior members, and you can see by the picture he was over the moon with his catch.
