The inaugural Genesis Group Table Tennis Tournament took place across February and March, bringing plenty of competitive spirit to the office.

After a series of hard-fought matches, Andrew Impey emerged as the deserved champion, comfortably defeating Harry Hickman Cert CII in the final.

Congratulations Andy! 🏓

And perhaps most importantly… it was great to finally see a Genesis employee win one of our organised tournaments!

In what feels like a flash, the first month of 2026 has already come and gone and we are firmly into February.

January proved to be an excellent start to the year for the team and we were pleased to support our clients with a number of successful placements and renewals, including the following highlights.

- Placement of two Insurance Backed Guarantee policies for an existing roofing client, ensuring they were able to meet the contractual requirements of the main contractor.

- Placement of Motor Fleet insurance for an existing cleaning contractor, securing competitive premium and cover levels for a newly established fleet with less than three years confirmed claims experience.

- Renewal of a large drylining contractor’s commercial insurance programme under our bespoke scheme, including cover for newly constructed premises and flood insurance within a significantly high risk flood zone.

- Renewal of a major demolition contractor’s commercial insurance arrangements, achieving premium savings while maintaining enhanced cover levels through detailed negotiation with the incumbent insurers.

- Renewal of a scaffolding contractor’s liability insurance, placing cover under a new 'A' rated scheme available only to a limited number of specialist construction insurance brokers.

- Renewal of a roofing contractor’s Motor Fleet insurance, delivering premium savings following an extensive market review and placement with a new insurer.

- Renewal of a metal fabricator’s commercial insurance programme, ensuring competitive cover was maintained for work undertaken both on site and away from their premises.

- Renewal of a carpentry contractor’s combined liability insurance, securing competitive premium and enhanced cover under our bespoke scheme.
