Well done to all the runners who took part in the Nene Valley Races BIG Annual run yesterday, both over 10 and 20 Miles, and great to see a new record set in the 20 mile race, well done Phil Melling !! WOW

Walking for Bill........ A 10km Charity Walk in Dovedale.

The team at Pollensa & Insurewise have announced, that this year’s charity walk will be in memory of our much-loved colleague, Bill Roberts, who sadly passed away in April this year.

Losing Bill has left a space that can never be filled. However, the kindness, humour, and compassion he shared with us will live on, inspiring us as we take on this walk in his memory.

This year we are raising funds for Cancer Research UK in honour of Bill Roberts, his life, and our love and respect for him, to support those affected by this terrible disease, and help in the search for a cure.

To show our support and raise vital funds, the combined teams from Pollensa Insurance and Insurewise will be lacing-up their walking boots to take on this commemorative trek of walking over 10kms in The Peak Distict.

What a fantastic it was—great conversations and even better people. Take a look at what the Insurewise & Pollensa team got up to!

Thank you to all the insurers for looking after us. We had a fantastic time, while also taking away some valuable industry updates—and of course, enjoying a bit of MADNESS over our few days in Manchester.

Please see the details below from Bill's family concerning his funeral arrangements:-

The funeral for Bill Roberts will take place on Tuesday, 12 May at 3:00 PM at Peterborough Crematorium. Following the service, we will be holding a wake at the Fitzwilliam Arms pub in Marholm, Stamford Road PE6 7HX.
All who knew Bill are welcome to attend and celebrate his life. The family kindly requests no flowers ❤️

William (Bill) Roberts

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our dear friend and much-loved colleague, Bill Roberts on Saturday 11th April 2026.

Trying to put into words what Bill meant to us feels impossible — because he wasn’t just someone we worked with, he was also a good friend, with a wealth of Insurance knowledge who was a joy to have around us.

From the moment Bill joined Insurewise in 2018 he bought his own particular style to the table, His clients loved and respected him and that showed from their continued loyalty year after year, and nothing was too much trouble for him to keep his clients happy and supporting them in a time of need whether it be a question or a claim.

Losing Bill leaves a space that cannot be filled, but the love, kindness and sense of humour he has left behind will live on.
He loved his family, he loved the insurance industry, which he had been in since leaving school in the late 1970’s and he loved his golf.

Our condolences go out to his wife Tracey, son Ben and daughters Megan and Becky together with his close family, friends, and all who loved him.

Rest easy Billy Boy, Put your pen down, your work is done… you will always be a part of us and again, Thank you x ❤️
