As our roles will be a combination of working from home and office (hybrid), we ideally need you to be living within a 50-mile radius of Peterborough or up to 1 hours’ drive/commute. This allows us to support regular scheduled face to face 121’s with your Team Manager and to attend Team Meetings. To make this manageable for all, we would be looking for candidates to live within this radius.

Are you a fully qualified accountant looking for a new role? We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Finance team who is analytically minded.

The Financial Accountant is responsible for completion of all accounting adjustments to enable accurate and timely production of the month end management accounts. The Financial Accountant must comply with FCA Regulations, the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and all policies and procedures.


Financial Reporting and full production of month end:
- Calculating and posting adjustments including accruals, prepayments and provisions for bad debt,

- Production of monthly management accounts pack.

- Providing analysis of performance.

- Accurate calculation of month end income figures to include production of third-party statements for partnership agreements.

- Identify and implement process improvements via utilisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 accounting software.

-Work closely with Heads of Departments to analyse monthly cost centre reports.

- Ensure compliance with FCA CASS client money regulations.

Audit:
- Provision of information required for preparation of statutory accounts

- Liaison with external auditors as required

Regulatory and Tax:
- Accurate and timely production of regulatory reporting (e.g. RMAR, ONS)

- Accurate and timely production of VAT returns

Balance Sheet:
- Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Experience:

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA

- Strong Excel skills

- Analytically minded

- Production of management accounts at SME level

- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred

- Financial services or insurance industry experience is desired
